Driver Rules & Code of Conduct

At Air Capital Drift, safety is our top priority. All drivers must adhere to these rules and our code of conduct to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

General Rules

  • All drivers must attend the mandatory drivers' meeting before each event
  • Follow all instructions from event staff and track officials
  • No alcohol or drugs permitted before or during driving sessions
  • Helmets must be worn at all times when on track
  • Passengers only allowed with prior approval and proper safety equipment
  • No aggressive driving or dangerous behavior in pit areas
  • Maintain safe speeds in designated areas
  • Report any vehicle issues or track hazards immediately

Code of Conduct

  • Treat all participants, staff, and spectators with respect
  • No discriminatory language or behavior will be tolerated
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive environment
  • Clean up your pit area before leaving
  • Support and encourage fellow drivers, especially beginners
  • Represent the drift community positively both at events and online
  • Report any concerns to event staff

Note: Violation of these rules may result in removal from the event without refund and possible ban from future events. Safety is non-negotiable.

Vehicle Requirements & Tech Inspection

All vehicles must pass a technical inspection before participating in any driving session. These requirements ensure your vehicle is safe for drifting and minimize the risk of mechanical failures on track.

Mechanical

  • No fluid leaks of any kind
  • Battery securely mounted with proper tie-down
  • All lug nuts present and properly torqued
  • Functioning brakes with adequate pad material
  • Tires in good condition with legal tread depth
  • No excessive play in steering or suspension components
  • Properly functioning throttle return spring

Safety Equipment

  • DOT or Snell approved helmet (required for all drivers)
  • Functioning seat belts for driver and passenger positions
  • Fire extinguisher securely mounted within driver's reach
  • Roll cage required for convertibles (no exceptions)
  • Seats securely mounted with no excessive movement
  • No loose items in vehicle during track sessions

Recommended Upgrades

  • Aftermarket steering wheel
  • Hydraulic handbrake
  • Coilover suspension
  • Welded or limited-slip differential
  • Racing harness (properly installed)
  • Racing seat
  • Upgraded cooling system

Tech Inspection Process

  1. Arrive at the event with your vehicle ready for inspection
  2. Complete the self-inspection checklist (available for download)
  3. Present your vehicle and completed checklist to tech inspectors
  4. Address any issues identified during inspection
  5. Receive tech inspection approval sticker

Safety Protocols

Our comprehensive safety protocols are designed to minimize risk and ensure prompt response to any incidents. All participants and spectators must be familiar with these procedures.

Flag Signals

  • Red Flag: Stop immediately and safely. Session suspended.
  • Yellow Flag: Caution, hazard ahead. Reduce speed.
  • Black Flag: Exit the track immediately and report to officials.
  • Checkered Flag: Session complete. Cool down lap and exit.

Emergency Response

  • Medical staff on-site during all events
  • Fire suppression equipment positioned around the track
  • Designated emergency vehicle access routes
  • Communication system for immediate response coordination

Incident Procedures

  • Remain in vehicle unless unsafe to do so
  • Signal to track staff if assistance is needed
  • Follow all instructions from safety personnel
  • All incidents require safety check before returning to track

Spectator Safety

  • Remain in designated spectator areas only
  • No alcohol in spectator areas adjacent to the track
  • Children must be supervised at all times
  • Follow all posted signs and staff instructions

Remember: Safety is everyone's responsibility. If you see something unsafe, say something to event staff immediately.
